Swissmem (ASM and VSM associations) is the leading representative body of the Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (MEM) Industries. The MEM industries are Switzerland's most important exporting sector and by far the largest employer of its industrial workforce.

Swissmem encompasses the two associations ASM and VSM. These associations represent the business, social and training policy interests of member companies in dealings with political bodies, national and international organizations, employee representatives and the public. Companies in the MEM industries have an excellent global reputation as suppliers of technologically advanced products and services and of whole systems and plants. Within the Swissmem division «Environmental Technologies» Swiss companies offer with their highly sophisticated technologies integrated solutions in all areas of environmental protection.
